1.Parish Finance
We are still borrowing money because of the Hall debt. Approx £40,000 is still owing and we repay at £435 each month. At this rate it will take 6 years to clear it. Some things need to be looked into on behalf of the parish such as cottage rent being paid to the Diocese and not to the church and Fr Peter will do this We receive £1200 as rent from the fields. It was agreed that more needs to be done as regards fund raising - see note 5

2. Church Property
Some renovating needs to be done to the house: exterior and interior decorating, carpets replacing Some work is progressing on the church, the spotlights are being renovated, the wall has been repaired but not quite to the standard required of a listed building. Inside church the sound system needs replacing which it is estimated will cost between £1500-£3000.There have been 3 quotes for the house exterior painting (as this is needed urgently to prevent disrepair to the property) ranging from £1165- - £450

3. Morning group
This is to be held possibly on a Wednesday morning organised by Marjorie Kimpton. The focus of the group is mums and babies, the elderly, etc according to demand. Interested parties are to be asked to a meeting to evaluate demand.

4. Health & safety meeting feedback
By law we are required to put up No Smoking notices both in the Hall and in Church. Steve will attend to this.

5. Fundraising EventsA garden party is arranged at the Colenso's house for July and possibilities of a Coffee and Dessert evening, Barbecue, (subject to the new draconian Health and Safety regulations), Auction, Quiz, Raffles and further daytime classes were all put forward as ideas. Other suggestions or offers would be welcome as it is crucial that we raise some money to hasten the clearing of the Hall debt. It is possible that a Garden Party or barbecue could be linked in future years to the 1st Communicants' celebration.

6. Communication
It was agreed that the parish should upgrade to broadband to keep in line with the other churches. A 4 parishes website will replace existing church website but hopefully will retain items such as church history. Pat Doyle will work on this with representatives of the other parishes.

7. Next Meeting
Tuesday September 25th 2007
